NFL Makes The Smart Decision On Ezekiel Elliott’s Touchdown Celebration

For once, the National Football League has made a smart PR move, deciding not to fine Ezekiel Elliott for his touchdown celebration during last night’s win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

During the win, Elliott scored his 13th rushing touchdown of the season and gave the Cowboys an early 10-3 lead.

After the score, Elliott jumped into the Salvation Army collection kettle behind the end zone, possibly giving some props to the great cause. Zeke was flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct for the celebration, but after fellow rookie Kavon Frazier made a great special teams tackle on the ensuing kick off, it was deemed as “no harm, no foul.”

After just about everyone expected the NFL to fine Elliott for the celebration, that have decided to use their discretion and do the right thing, for once.

Had Elliott been fined, he stated that he would’ve matched whatever the fine was in a donation to the Salvation Army. Now, we know that it won’t be necessary, but it is still expected that he will make a donation regardless.
