Cowboys Draft: Ronald Leary Opens Up Draft-Trade Doors

The window for restricted free agents to sign offer sheets with their teams has closed, leaving Cowboys Guard Ronald Leary with two options: Sign his 2nd round tender offer with the team Or, sit out the 2016 season Leary decided to sign the tender today, which comes with around a $2.5 million salary for the 2016 season. Leary has been a viable starter for the Cowboys since 2013, but was replaced mid-way through last season by rookie sensation La’el Collins. Collins has shown no sign of slowing down as the Cowboys starting Left Guard, and should be cemented on the line for many years to come.

Well it’s draft day (can’t use DDay out of respect for our vets), and now we will see who the Cowboys will take and how the draft unfolds. About the only guarantee is that all of the predictions and mocks from the experts will be obliterated by the tenth pick (If not sooner). But even so, we all want to try to play GM and predict what will happen and this is my attempt to do the same. So without further ado, here are my predictions for what the Cowboys will do in the first four rounds. The Cowboys draft will be set up by what San Diego does with their pick.

It’s finally that time. The 2016 NFL Draft is just hours away and we will finally know exactly who the Dallas Cowboys will be adding to their 2016 roster. And, the Cowboys look to be in great shape to add 2 or 3 immediate impact players in the early rounds. Just about the only advantage to having such an awful season is the position it places your team in come Draft Day. Of course, most of those arguments and discussions have centered around what the Cowboys will do with their 4th overall selection, a pick which should yield a potential star. It has been boiled down to two names:
