Offense: Terrance Williams
Williams stepped up as the Cowboys much-needed number one receiver this week, catching four passes for 84 yards – and the game-sealing touchdown (which made our plays of the week!)
It was a grind it out type game for the entire offense, but Williams has shown throughout his career that he can make an explosive play when it’s needed the most. For that reason, he is my week 2 offensive player of the week!
Defense: Sean Lee
Lee was all over the field on Sunday, totaling 14 tackles – 9 of which were solo. His interception of Sam Bradford in the end zone was also a turning point of the game.
If Dallas was going to be successful in shutting down DeMarco Murray, it was going to be up to playmaker Sean Lee. Murray finished with two yards total. Enough said.
Lee’s presence as the captain of this defense will be felt even more so in the coming weeks as the Cowboys prepare for life without Tony Romo. It will be up to Lee to make sure this defense is set for every single snap and continues to keep the team in games.
Rookie of the Week: La’el Collins
Rookie of the week is an obvious choice, with La’el Collins seeing significant snaps and holding his own against a very talented Eagles’ front. Projected as a first round talent, Brandon Weeden and the Cowboys are lucky to have Collins along their already stacked offensive line.
Collins split snaps with Mackenzy Bernadeau at left guard. He may see a similar amount of playing time this week against Atlanta.
