Stephen A. Smith: Cowboys Nation is Pathetic

ESPN First Take, the show we only tune in to in order to hear Stephen A Smith and Cowboys’ fan Skip Bayless scream at each other over every issue in the world of sports.

Yesterday’s show reached a potential low point, with Stephen A. clearly forgetting his responsibilities as an objective sports anchor to go full Eagles fan – ripping apart Cowboys Nation.

His hatred for America’s Team apparently stems from the fanbase which, for my money, is the best in professional sports. While times are currently tough, Cowboys fans (and we here at Inside The Star) have searched for sources of hope – while keeping expectations realistic.

Our fanbase is apparently “irrelevant”, with the team sitting a game behind first place in the NFC East. We do not “deal in reality”, realizing that a win against the Giants after the bye would put the Cowboys at 3-0 in the division, paving a clear path for contention upon the return of Tony Romo.

Stephen A. failed to mention anything pertaining to the team itself, which is ironic because they may be welcoming back the best receiver in football after the bye. He added that he not only wants the team to lose in the regular season but lose on a Tony Romo pick-six in the Super Bowl.

This would supposedly offset the fact that he would have to wear Cowboys’ gear leading up to the big game, a bet he made on the show.

The stupidity concluded with Stephen A. sounding like a broken record, and Skip Bayless defending his Super Bowl prediction of the Cowboys meeting the Patriots – which Tony Romo fully expects.
