Player of the Month
Yesterday Sean Lee was named NFC Defensive Player of the Month. Lee has had a spectacular start to the first half of this season and he is even tied for the league lead in interceptions (4). He finished the month with 33 tackles, 14 assisted tackles and three interceptions. He was well deserving of this award and Lee has been the most consistent player on this defense as a captain should be.
Practice Notes
Yesterday DeMarcus Ware and Miles Austin did rehab work in preparation to get back on the field. Brian Waters, Mo Claiborne, Danny McCray, J.J. Wilcox and DeVonte Holloman did not attend practice. DeMarco Murray is listed as questionable but should play Sunday against the Vikings.
Phil Costa and Doug Free took some snaps at the right guard position in order to get their best five available on the offensive line. With the absence of Waters, Dallas will have to juggle the line in order to get this running game started and protect their franchise quarterback.
Game Notes
At this point Leslie Frazier hasn’t named his starting quarterback to this point. If I had to say one way or the other I’d say Christian Ponder gets the nod. It shouldn’t matter who takes the snaps because Minnesota is inferior at the quarterback position with either one. Obviously Vegas feels the same as they have put the line at Cowboys -10.
