Precisely 2,607 days ago as the Arizona Cardinals and Pittsburgh Steelers were in their locker rooms during halftime of Super Bowl XLIII, “The Boss” brought the righteous and mighty power of the E Street Band into our beautiful homes.
He challenged us to step back from the guacamole dip, to put the chicken fingers down, and to turn our televisions aaaaaaaaaalllllllll the way up!
IS THERE ANYBODY ALIVE OUT THERE???
Let’s all take a moment to calm down. Goodness.
There is no one, nor anything at all really, on this earth like Bruce Springsteen. The man knows how to put on a show and even as I went back to re-watch his Super Bowl Halftime Show… I got so jacked that I wanted to run through a brick wall.
I am not alone in this world regarding my love of Springsteen. My fellow Staff Writer Sean Martin is all ’bout dat action when it comes to The Boss. Why do I know that? Well Sean and I are good friends, bros as some might say. Some like the primary figures of the Dallas Cowboys.
Jason Garrett and Tony Romo know all about being best friends for life. The Head Coach and Quarterback have never hidden their bromance from the world. The dynamic duo have taken a particular affinity to attending college basketball games together. Garrett and Romo have been seen locally at SMU games in Dallas, as well as in attendance at Duke games as you can see.
Friendships like these are rare (unless you’re catching FX’s 200th re-airing of Step Brothers) and they’re even more uncommon among NFL Head Coaches and Starting Quarterbacks. While many question these two bro-ing out, I’m a huge fan of it. I want my Head Coach and Quarterback to be in sync as much as possible… even if that in sync is at the concert of one of America’s greatest rockers ever.
For some reason Tony Romo, Jason Witten and Jason Garrett were at the @springsteen show tonight at MSG pic.twitter.com/8L2wfRaByy

Jason Garrett celebrated his 50th birthday on Monday. How did Tony and his main bro, Jason Witten, celebrate their fellow bro? By hanging out with most bro-tastic bro there has ever been… The Boss, of course!
Romo, Witten, and Garrett were probably jamming “Born to Run” (perhaps “Bro to Run”?) while half-hugging and twirling glow sticks – at least that’s how it happened in my mind. I’m simply basing that off of the scientific fact that one cannot listen to Bruce without completely rocking out.
If you do the math on this whole thing it makes a whole heck of a lot of sense. Springsteen sings “Born in the U.S.A.” and the Cowboys are America’s Team. I’m surprised it wasn’t written in the Constitution that the two would eventually meet.
In all seriousness it’s great to see Romo, Witten, and Garrett enjoying themselves with each other. Hopefully in ten years they’ll go see Bruce again and be unable to twirl those glow sticks thanks to their hands being weighed down by their Super Bowl Rings.
Talk about the Glory Days.
What do you make of Romo, Witten, and Garrett checking out The Boss together? Let us know! Comment below, Email me at RJ@RJOchoaShow.com, or Tweet to me at @rjochoa!
So much awesomeness…
