There isn’t a much better story in football, or in sports at all, than that of Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott.
Drafted in the fourth round of the 2016 NFL Draft out of Mississippi State, most wrote off Prescott’s career before he even got the chance to start it. Beginning training camp as the third string quarterback, Prescott was forced into early playing time due to injuries to both Tony Romo and Kellen Moore.
The rest is history.
After completing arguably the greatest rookie season of any quarterback in NFL history, Prescott is geared up and ready to get after his sophomore campaign. He has already accepted the leadership position which comes with being the starting quarterback of America’s Team, and has done literally everything the right way this offseason.
The Dallas Cowboys production staff, however, is planning to give us one more look back at where Prescott has come from to get to this point.
The team’s Twitter account released this trailer for a documentary on Dak Prescott Monday, titled “Dak Prescott, A Family Reunion.”
The documentary is intended to give fans a look into Prescott’s life to this point, possibly ranging from the life and tragic death of his mother to his illustrious college career, and everything before and between.
According to DallasCowboys.com, this documentary will be released on the team website, YouTube, Facebook, Periscope, and Apple TV. The documentary will premier on July 19th at 6pm Central Time, but I am sure it will be available for replay and streaming well after that time.
While he certainly has a ways to go in his young career before his name can potentially be included in the Cowboys’ Ring of Honor, I am certainly here for a documentary on what Dak Prescott has done thus far.
Plus, the trailer was pretty bad-ass.
