WATCH: Dak Prescott, Ezekiel Elliott Interviewed by Keyshawn Johnson Before MNF

Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott won their 13th game as rookie starters for the Cowboys last night, but it was business as usual under the bright lights of Monday Night Football for Jason Garrett’s team and Cowboys Nation fans alike.

Before the game, these phenomenal rookies talked to former player Keyshawn Johnson together at The Star. We’ve seen these two backfield-mates have plenty of fun on the field, but we don’t often get them together in the same candid interview like this.

Both Prescott and Elliott shared in the praise for one another as rookie of the year and MVP candidates, with Zeke coming away stunned at the amount of work Dak has to do in this offense – while he “just blocks” at times.

As a first-year starting quarterback, its easy to see how Prescott has benefited from having Tony Romo to learn from, but Elliott also adds that the veteran QB has helped him with protections and pre-snap play recognition.

The two then talk about the implications that their improbable success could have on the NFL and their careers as the years go on, which is must-watch for any Cowboys fan that remembers the glory days of the 90’s, or for the fans like myself that want Prescott and Elliott to bring America’s Team back to those days.

Dak Prescott, Ezekiel Elliott

Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott are already making history as 2016 draft picks out of two major college football programs. This is the Dallas Cowboys though, and the fact that these 13-2 Cowboys are being driven by two kids – that continue to impress in interviews like this – is nothing short of unprecedented and remarkable.
