The offseason as Dallas Cowboys fans can get a bit boring. Not very active in free agency, us fans must wait until draft day to see our favorite team make some big splashes. Because of this, we cling onto any type of Cowboys content we can get our hands on during these off-months.
With that being said, thank you David Irving.
Cowboys defensive linemen David Irving had a few break-out type games towards the end of 2016, and cemented himself as a member of the Dallas defensive line rotation for next season.
His grind does not stop when he comes off the field, however. In this video, which was uploaded to Youtube on March 21st by the Dallas Cowboys Fan Club, Irving delivers his best impression of head coach Jason Garrett.
While the title says his impression was “spot on,” I think we can all agree that’s a bit of a stretch.
After some comedic relief, Irving went on to talk about the routine of coach Garrett’s practices. Irving said that Jason Garrett likes to “keep things the same” in terms of game preparation, and considering the success the Cowboys had last season, he certainly had no reason to change things up.
While the video does seem to have been taped during the season, the general public was just alerted of David Irving’s comedic skills yesterday.
Hopefully Irving can continue with his development as a defensive lineman this offseason, and come through with an ever better season in 2017.
