After spending the first five years of his career with the Philadelphia Eagles, defensive tackle Cedric Thornton joined the division rival Dallas Cowboys this off-season. After signing a four-year $17 million deal with Dallas, Thornton immediately scanned the schedule searching for the first time he’d get to see his former team.
Anytime Dallas and Philly gets together is special, but Cedric Thornton now has some added incentive towards making plays on Sunday night.
Now on the other side of the vaunted Cowboys/Eagles rivalry, Thornton made it loud and clear how he feels about that team in Philadelphia. 
“We hate them,” Thornton told Todd Archer of ESPN.com when asked about how he and the Cowboys viewed the 4-2 Eagles. Adding that he still has friends on the team who he talks with regularly, Thornton made sure to note that the hatred is “nothing personal.”
When asked how he felt about the history of the Cowboys/Eagles rivalry, Thornton compared it to the fights between a little and big brother. The Cowboys, of course, are the big brother of the NFC East. With 5 Super Bowl rings and more division titles than anyone in the East, they have long been the dominant force which thwarted the Eagles.
The little brother Eagles would love nothing more than to knock off the Cowboys in their own place, taking over first place of the NFC East, and proving that their rookie quarterback is the better of the two in the division.
Cedric Thornton has performed pretty well in limited snaps this year, but I expect him to show even more improvement and make his biggest impact yet this Sunday against his former team.
