And the game ball goes to…. Wade Phillips??? Excuse me Wade Phillips the same guy we all wanted hung from the tallest tree last week! Evidently the Cowboys believe ol’ Marshmallow man was the straw that stirred the drink this week! In all seriousness he did an outstanding job preparing this team for by all accounts was a must win game.
Hello Bradie James glad to see you again! You have been missing in action for so long now! This defense finally showed some guts! Now I am not going to run to the top of the tallest hill in Texas and scream out that they are the best or anything like that, but for one day they played with intensity, and fire and that is all we can ask for. That is all we have asked for! The only defensive penalties were called on D-Ware for getting great jumps! The guy is just too quick for the officials! How about the play of the youngest secondary in the league!
Awesome job by Jenkins, Scandrick, Brown, and Ball (Allan Ball forgot about him didn’t you) you could see the confidence brewing with this group throughout the second half, and then they stood up and did their job! Dave Campo deserves a lot of credit for getting these guys ready to play.
One down and one to go. Another must win game this weekend. Can the defense bring a duplicate performance against the G-Men? I know they can but this is not a matter of “can you” but more a matter of “WILL YOU”. As stagnant as this offense is without Romo they are going to have to if they hope to have a chance in this game.
