Currently enjoying their bye week as the 5-1 leaders of the NFC East, the Dallas Cowboys could be in an even better position after this Sunday’s games. All three of their division rivals face tough matchups today.
Here are the NFC East standings going into Week 7.

In a game that just got underway in London, the New York Giants are facing the Los Angeles Rams. Both teams are 3-3 and have had highs and lows so far in 2016. While Eli Manning is the better quarterback in the matchup, the Rams’ defense is more talented than New York’s.
Washington (4-2) hosts the surging Detroit Lions. After a 1-3 start to the year, Detroit has won their last two against the Eagles and Rams. Matthew Stafford is a more reliable QB than Kirk Cousins, but Washington has had more consistent offensive production over all. Neither team’s defense has been very good so far this year.
Philadelphia has the toughest draw, traveling to face the undefeated Minnesota Vikings. The showdown between Carson Wentz and Sam Bradford is its own intriguing storyline; Bradford was “QB1” in Philadelphia less than two months ago. Mike Zimmer, Vikings head coach, is leading the pack in the Coach of the Year race.
Obviously, the Cowboys will appreciate any cushion they can get with so much season left to go.
