Will Roy E. Williams be the answer we are looking for at WR for the Dallas Cowboys?
Well let’s look at some of his past to make a good Guess about the Future.
Williams was born in Odessa, Texas. A versatile and acclaimed athlete, Williams earned the nickname “The Legend” while in high school at Permian High School.
Williams also competed in track at Permian and in the spring of 2000 he won the long jump with a jump of 25’6″, placed 2nd in the high jump jumping 6’10” and 3rd in the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.38s at the state track meet.
Arriving at Austin, Williams and fellow freshmen receivers BJ Johnson and Sloan Thomas were touted as the most talented group of receivers in school history.
Williams was drafted 7th overall in the first round of the 2004 NFL Draft by the Detroit Lions. Many draft experts considered the pick a bold move since they had drafted Charles Rogers with the 2nd overall pick just a year earlier. While the pick was bold, it was also widely hailed by draft gurus and fans, as Williams was widely considered to be a top-3 talent, giving the Lions top value. The two receivers, along with rookie running back Kevin Jones, were supposed to provide the foundation of an explosive Lions offense, but Kevin Jones injured his leg and was in the hospital for the remainder of the 2005 season.
Pre-draft Measurables:

Roy Williams had a productive year for the 2006 Lions, having 1,310 yards and 7 touchdowns. The 1,310 were the most in the NFC; and tied with Indianapolis Colts receiver Reggie Wayne for 3rd most in the NFL.
Williams was named an alternate for the 2007 Pro Bowl. When Torry Holt withdrew due to injury, Williams was named to the active squad. He was the first Detroit wide receiver to make the Pro Bowl since 1998 (Herman Moore).
I have watched him make some outstanding catches, he has some of the best hands in the NFL. As I mentioned he went to the Pro Bowl in 2007, and was having a good season statically with the Lions last year before being traded to Dallas. Well we all know that after the trade he didn’t have a real great second half of a season.
How ever as you has seen he has all the skills to be one of the best WR’s in the NFL, and I think that with a full Off Season and Full training camp with Tony Romo so they can get into a rhythm, he will be the WR we all want.
I for one plan to Draft him for my fantasy team this year if I can.
he better be a good #1 after giving up three picks for him and signing him to that extension…

great video
First of all the 3 picks is somewhat bogus! yes Dallas gave up 3 picks but if we had 2 of those back we would have 13 picks in this years draft instead of 11, they will not draft 11 people nor will they draft 9, maybe not even 7. So essentially they traded there 20th pick for a Pro Bowl caliber receiver, I would do that any day.
