2017 Senior Bowl: Which Players Should Be On Cowboys' Radar? 1Wide receiver: Josh Reynolds (Texas A&M), Fred Ross (Mississippi State), Travin Dural (LSU)

Cornerback: Marquez White (Florida), Tre’davious White (LSU)

Safety: Justin Evans (Texas A&M)

Tight end: O.J. Howard (Alabama), Evan Ingram (Ole Miss)

Defensive end: Daeshon Hall (Texas A&M), Jordan Willis (Kansas State), Josh Carraway (TCU), Ryan Anderson (Alabama)

Defensive tackle: Dalvin Tomlinson (Alabama), Montravis Adams (Auburn)

The South team might just have the best talent of the two squads for the 2017 Senior Bowl. There are a number of players that I could see playing for the Dallas Cowboys next season.

I have already seen a lot of Josh Reynolds, so I will be watching to see if he can become more consistent. He can make some spectacular catches, but then turn right around and drop some of the easiest ones. Fred Ross is a former teammate of Dak Prescott, so the Cowboys might already have some inside knowledge of him. Travin Dural is someone that probably got a raw deal playing in LSU’s run heavy offense. I’m really looking forward to seeing what he can do with this opportunity.

Tre’davis White and Marquez White are both probably CBs that can come in and be day one starters for the Cowboys. They could make things tough for the North teams wide receivers.

The Cowboys could use some depth at the safety position and Justin Evans could provide that. He is a great opportunity to improve his draft stock this week with a good showing.

O.J. Howard and Evan Ingram are two of the top tight ends in this year’s draft class. Howard in fact might be the best TE we have seen in some time. Both players could be Jason Witten’s future successor.

Daeshon Hall, Jordan Willis, Josh Carraway, and Ryan Anderson could all help improve the Cowboys pass rush, which is why I have them on this list. Anderson might be more of an  outside linebacker, but that is why I will be keeping an extra close eye on him this weekend.

Defensive tackle might not be a major need for the Dallas Cowboys, but they could use more bodies to add to the rotation. Dalvin Tomlinson and Montravis Adams could be players that Rod Marinelli could help mold and develop into future starters.

Do you think any of these players would make a good addition to the Dallas Cowboys?

    • It will be interesting if he is still on the board at 28 when the Cowboys are set to draft. It would be hard to pass up adding a player as talented as Howard.

          • Noticed this today from Keith Mullins;

            Every time I hear Romo wore out the #Cowboys defense with Rico Gathers on the scout team I think a TE pick early in ’17 is even less likely.

          • I saw that earlier today too. I’m skeptical Rico Gathers will ever be a starting TE in the NFL. I think the best that we can hope for from him is him developing into a solid backup.

  1. Absolutely, all these players would bring energy efficiency and enthusiasm to the Cowboys, in the organization quest for a Lombardi Trophy in 2017.
