Keeping up with the expanded rosters in the NFL during this time of the year can be a difficult task, as teams like the Cowboys are always looking to improve at each and every spot. On Tuesday, this roster shuffling for Dallas includes the release of three undrafted free agents and the addition of workout players Darnell Leslie and MJ McFarland.
No longer with the team are C Michael Coe, OT Levon Myers, and LB Jeremiah George. Coe and George were likely the most intriguing names out of these three post-draft signings, as Coe had an outside shot of lasting with the team thanks to his ability to add depth at center and guard while George could contribute at linebacker and on special teams.
Michael Coe reportedly wasn’t formally waived by the Cowboys, instead choosing himself to no longer pursue a NFL career after playing for Western New Mexico and later North Dakota as a graduate transfer.

With their new additions, the Cowboys have added a new defender in the form of Monmouth University’s Darnell Leslie. The pass rusher was with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers earlier in the summer, and now finds his way to a Dallas team that should be willing to give any and all defensive ends a look.
Also joining the Cowboys at a position of need is former Texas TE MJ McFarland, who has spent time in the NFL with the rival Philadelphia Eagles along with the New York Jets. The Cowboys need bodies at TE with James Hanna and Geoff Swaim slowly working back from injury, to reduce the practice workloads for veteran Jason Witten and developing second-year player Rico Gathers.
Oklahoma State TE Blake Jarwin remains with the team as well as a UDFA and camp body.
