The Dallas Cowboys moved to 2-0, defeating the hapless Eagles on the road 20-10. The defense allowed just 226 total yards, and forced three turnovers.
However, Tony Romo went down in the third quarter and did not return. He will miss up to eight weeks.
Focusing on the positives, here is how it all went down…
First Half

DeMarco Murray’s reunion with the Cowboys’ defense did not go as planned…for his new team! The Dallas defense pitched a first half shutout, holding Murray to ONE yard on five carries.
The Eagles were forced to punt five times, picking up just one first down in the half. Sean Lee was active all over the field, amassing four tackles.
Meanwhile, the Cowboys’ offense could not extend the lead past one score – as Dan Bailey kicked two field goals.
Gavin Escobar appeared to find the end zone with just over three minutes remaining in the first quarter, but a review showed that he was down inside the one.
Dallas failed to punch the ball in, as Joseph Randle was stuffed on first down before Romo threw back to back incompletions.
Right before the half, the Cowboys were leading a promising drive fueled mostly by Eagles’ penalties. Dan Bailey would kick a chip-shot field goal to send the Cowboys to the locker room up 6-0.
The most important stat of the half was likely time of possession, which the Cowboys dominated 23:09 to 6:51.
Second Half
The second half started with a bang, as Danny McCray blocked a punt on the Eagles first possession. Kyle Wilber picked it up and ran it back for a score to extend the lead to 13-0.
The defense forced three turnovers and allowed only a garbage time touchdown to Jordan Matthews.
Terrance Williams caught a laser from Brandon Weeden, who finished 7 of 7, for a 42-yard touchdown to put the game away in the fourth quarter.
For MONTHS I was told Murray was special & Dallas was stupid for letting him go. On the season? 21 carries for 11 yards. Thats not special.
