Cowboys Vs Dolphins: Star-Studded Dolphins Front Will Test The O-Line

That was the last time the Dallas Cowboys faced their opponent this Friday, the Miami Dolphins, and the return of their leader, Tony Romo.

While the Cowboys won the game, and it was an overall joyous day, not everything went as well as planned. Especially not upfront.

The usually unbreakable Cowboys offensive line faced arguably their toughest test of the entire season, and certainly struggled at times. If we were to grade out the individual players, I am sure the majority of the Cowboys offensive line would come out as winners, but there was no question that they struggled as a unit more than we had seen before.

This Friday night, the Cowboys once again face the Dolphins, and the offensive line faces their first real test of the 2016 campaign. It may be just preseason, but these matchups will prove important once the real season kicks off and Dallas must find ways to block players like Olivier Vernon and Damon Harrison.

Let’s take a look at some of the key matchups. [/tps_header]

While we can almost guarantee that neither of these players will play after the first quarter, their matchup is a key one to watch while it is available.

Martin and Suh have went head to head twice during their careers, once while Suh was with the Detroit Lions and once last season in Miami. Zack Martin is an All-Pro guard, and quite possibly the best interior offensive lineman in the entire NFL, but he had his fair share of troubles when facing Suh. Martin did improve against Suh from their Detroit matchup, blocking him much better last season.

When these two go at it this Friday, ignore the ball for a play or two and just watch two of the best at their positions go at it full-go.

  1. Uhhh hey Kevin, really like the article but why do you think it is that the Eagles are always able to beat the cowboys every year? Is it because Romo’s a hack or does God just hate Jerry Jones just as much as the rest of the world does? Get back to me.
