The Dallas Cowboys are still in the market for someone to coach their secondary, and it appears that another name has been tossed in the hat.
Source tells @NFLonFOX that @dallascowboys have interviewed Gill Byrd for DBs coach vacancy. Byrd was @TBBuccaneers CBs coach past 2 seasons

I know you’re glued to Inside The Star, so you already knew that the Cowboys had interviewed Mike Nolan and Tim Lewis. Gill Byrd is duking it out with them for the right to mold last year’s rookie standout – Byron Jones.
Byrd has defensive backs coaching experience with both the Chicago Bears and Tampa Bay Buccaneers that dates all the way back to 2007. He’s spent a lot of time with Lovie Smith so one would assume that he knows better than others exactly what Rod Marinelli is trying to do in Dallas.
Mum has been the word in terms of who will be filling this vacancy on the coaching staff, but this news managed to squeak its way to the forefront. Gill Byrd’s birthday is actually February 20th so maybe he’ll get a wardrobe full of Stars as a gift. Stay tuned.
