Fantasy Football: Preseason Running Back Rankings – Week 4

John Williams

The preseason is coming to a close this week, and that means it’s time to get our Fantasy Football lineups in order.

Ezekiel Elliott did all that was asked of him in week three of preseason action. He showed everything we hoped for when he took seven carries with the first-team offensive line.

Elliott carried the ball up the middle and off-tackle and showed burst, decisiveness, patience, and physicality (just ask Kam Chancellor). He showed he has the ability and the personality to be another tone-setter, along with Dez Bryant.

The Risers

In Fantasy football mock drafts, I’ve been seeing Jeremy Langford and Melvin Gordon rising quite a bit. Two players who used to be drafted in the 8th or 9th round are coming off the board a round or two higher now than they were a month ago.

Rashad Jennings remains one of my favorite late round running backs. He is going to get all of the early down work to begin the season. The New York Giants have vowed to ditch the four-headed running back by committee they ran with in 2015.
