Week 6 Hot Sauce

Dak Prescott, QB, Dallas Cowboys @ Green Bay Packers

The dude keeps getting better and better, Cowboys Headlines - Cowboys Quarterback Issue That's Really A Nonissue 3making plays to win the Dallas Cowboys some football games.

Now Dak Prescott goes into week six traveling to Green Bay, which is the most difficult NFL stadium that he has played an away game at in his NFL career.

It won’t be the most difficult stadium he has ever played in. When you play in the SEC West, you have to go on the road and play at Alabama, LSU, and Texas A&M. Those three schools average 102,218 seats.

Lambeau Field’s capacity is at just over 80,000 seats.

As we have seen in Dak Prescott’s young career, the moment hasn’t been too big for him.

Green Bay is a tough team, but they can be thrown on. The Green Bay Packers have allowed 274.5 yards passing per game over the first four games of the season. They also allow two touchdowns per game.

While they aren’t very good at stopping the pass, they are excellent at stopping the run. Dak Prescott is going to be relied upon a little bit more than he has been to win this game.

Flavorful Forecast: 325 yards, three total touchdowns, and zero interceptions.

Alex Smith, QB, Kansas City Chiefs @ Oakland Raiders

Fantasy Football - The #FantasyFootball Sauce: Who's Hot and Weak for Week 6 7Nobody in the NFL has given up as many passing yards through five weeks as the Oakland Raiders.

If you need a bye week quarterback. Alex Smith is the guy.

The Raiders haven’t kept a quarterback under 250 yards this season and have allowed two 400-yard passers.

Alex Smith is averaging a little more than 250 yards passing per game and has thrown a touchdown in each game of 2016.

Flavorful Forecast: 265 yards passing, 2 touchdowns, 20 yards rushing.

Ryan Matthews, RB, Philadelphia Eagles @ Washington Redskins

The Washington Redskins are continuing to struggle against the run.

On Sunday, they allowed Baltimore Ravens running back Terrance West to rush for 96 yards on just 11 carries. He would have had more if not for some odd play-calling that saw quarterback Joe Flacco throw the ball 46 times in a six point game.

Ryan Matthews is still an effective running back that gets plenty of opportunities.

Expect the Philadelphia Eagles to not make the same mistakes Baltimore did and run the ball. The best way to take the pressure off of your rookie quarterback is to run the ball, and Washington won’t be able to do anything to stop it.

Start Matthews and enjoy his production for your fantasy football team in week six.

Flavorful Forecast: 18 carries for 115 yards and one touchdown.

Jeremy Maclin, WR, Kansas City Chiefs @ Oakland Raiders

Fantasy Football - The #FantasyFootball Sauce: Who's Hot and Weak for Week 6 5Jeremy Maclin is going to be the primary benefactor of the Alex Smith offensive explosion in week 6.

Maclin sees seven targets a game and hasn’t posted less than four catches in any game in 2016.

Again, the Oakland Raiders are letting so many teams throw on them, even Rutgers might be able to move the ball.

Maclin is the top target for this Andy Reid offense that will have to throw to keep up with the high-octane Oakland Raiders attack.

Flavorful Forecast: Six catches for 110 yards and one touchdown.

Michael Thomas, WR, New Orleans Saints vs Carolina Panthers

Fantasy Football - The #FantasyFootball Sauce: Who's Hot and Weak for Week 6 4Rookie Wide Receiver Michael Thomas has been seeing an uptick in his targets over the last two games.

Thomas has also had a touchdown in each of the past two games. He certainly is a player on the rise in the New Orleans Saints passing game.

The Carolina Panthers are allowing 250+ yards passing per game through the first five weeks of the season and have averaged two touchdowns a game allowed.

Flavorful Forecast: Five catches, 70 yards, and one touchdown.

Week 6 Weak Sauce

Eli Manning, QB, New York Giants vs Baltimore Ravens

Fantasy Football - Fantasy Football Sauce: Who's Hot and Weak for Week 6 1

Eli Manning is struggling. The New York Giants are struggling. Everyone always thinks he and they should be better than this, but maybe this is who they really are.

The Baltimore Ravens have only allowed two quarterbacks to throw for more than 200 yards passing in the first five weeks of the season. The Ravens have been ravenous on opposing quarterbacks, forcing six interceptions, and have 10 sacks on the season.

One thing we know about Eli Manning is that he will turn the ball over and he will take some sacks. Until we see a more productive New York Giants offense, I’d sit Eli Manning.

Flavorless Forecast: 210 yards passing, one touchdown, and two interceptions.

Mark Ingram, RB, New Orleans Saints vs Carolina Panthers

Fantasy Football - The #FantasyFootball Sauce: Who's Hot and Weak for Week 6 3Mark Ingram is going to have tough sledding against a Carolina Panthers defense that is still good at stopping the run.

The Carolina Panthers only give up about 90 yards per game rushing. They’ve held ball carriers to 3.5 yards per carry.

While they’ve been good against the run, they haven’t been good against the pass. Sean Payton and Drew Brees are going to throw the ball a ton and they do it well within the friendly confines of the Superdome.

Mark Ingram is going to be preyed upon by this Panthers defense.

Flavorless Forecast: 16 touches, 60 total yards, and zero touchdowns

Devonta Freeman, RB, Atlanta Falcons @ Seattle Seahawks

Fantasy Football - The #FantasyFootball Sauce: Who's Hot and Weak for Week 6 2Devonta Freeman has a tough test for the second week in a row.

After going to Mile High and helping the Atlanta Falcons to a victory, he has to face the Seattle Seahawks in Seattle.

The Seahawks are only allowing a 3.3 yard per carry through their first 4 games of the season.

With the emergence of Tevin Coleman in the passing game, Freeman’s reception totals may be unpredictable week to week. You may be starting him, but I’d lower my expectations.

Flavorless Forecast: 18 total touches 65 yards, and zero touchdowns.

Amari Cooper, WR, Oakland Raiders vs Kansas City Chiefs

Fantasy Football - The #FantasyFootball Sauce: Who's Hot and Weak for Week 6Over the first four games of the season, the Kansas City Chiefs have held opposing quarterbacks to right at 240 yards passing a game. That’s a lot of yards, but they’ve only allowed 1.75 touchdowns per game.

The Oakland Raiders have been the best passing offense in the league, but this is a week when their division rival slows them down.

Michael Crabtree, Cooper’s wide receiver partner, has the better week as Cooper gets shut down.

Flavorless Forecast: 3 catches for 45 yards and zero touchdowns.
