Each week with the positional rankings, I’m going to offer Dallas Cowboys centered Fantasy Football information. I’ll offer you a breakdown of the matchup for your and my Dallas Cowboys Defense. Your Dallas Cowboys Team Defense
The Dallas Cowboys defense has forced at least one turnover in each contest of the 2016 season. In week three, they forced two more turnovers by recovering two fumbles. Week three was the first week they were unable to get a sack.
No worries though, because they won the game and held the Chicago Bears to 17 points.
With that game, they now rank 10th in points against in the NFL, allowing an average of 20 points per game. For comparison, the Philadelphia Eagles are allowing an average of nine points a game(!).
I don’t think anyone expected this defense to be in the top-10 in scoring defense at any point during 2016, so this is a bonus.
In week four they face a San Francisco 49ers team that has some decent offensive pieces in Torrey Smith and Carlos Hyde. The quarterback position leaves a lot to be desired. Blaine Gabbert is the starter, but who knows for how long.
After three weeks, Gabbert has a quarterback rating of 68.6 while completing only 55% of his passes. He’s thrown as many touchdowns (3) as he has interceptions.
What the San Francisco 49ers have done this season is score points.
Before last weeks drubbing at the hands of the Seattle Seahawks, the 49ers averaged 27.5 points per game over the first two weeks. Before garbage time in week three, San Francisco only scored three points. Which 49ers team shows up this week is the question.
The Cowboys have a good chance to force some turnovers and it wouldn’t surprise me if they get their first defensive touchdown in week four. Start them in 14 or 16 team leagues.
