The fluidity of replacing Dez Bryant keeps getting a little more interesting; instead of signing one of the four tryout Wide Receivers I mentioned earlier, the Dallas Cowboys have made a trade for 2013 seventh round draft pick Brice Butler from the Oakland Raiders, in exchange for a conditional draft pick.
Brice Butler has issues getting a clean release, but he is a big bodied Wide Receiver that can line up on the outside. As you can see here, Butler does has some explosiveness with the ball in his hands. Here is another example of his explosiveness, he is definitely a receiver whose best trait is his running ability in the open field.

The above will show you some of what Butler was able to achieve in college. It would seem that he is able to make the big play but seems to struggle with his route running and fighting through initial jams and getting up the field.
Even with those limitations, if Derek Dooley is able to work with him, he has the potential to add a big play element to this offense. He is coming into a good situation as he will not be asked to shoulder much of the offense, yet will need to contribute when called upon.
Welcome to the team Brice. Get into that playbook as quickly as possible my friend.
