Giants Look to Improve Secondary with Signing of Montclair State’s CJ Conway

Entering training camp for 2015, Tom Coughlin and the Giants knew that they had a number of issues on the defensive side of the ball. Things only got worse when their secondary was banged up in a preseason opener against the Bengals.

On Monday, they signed former Montclair State and 2014 New Jersey Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Year CJ Conway.

Conway impressed at the division III level in his senior season, recording eight interceptions for a Red Hawks team that finished 8-2 and captured a share of the conference title.

After his invite to training camp, Craig Gorbunoff and Alex Hand – hosts of WMSC’s “Craig’s Call” on 90.3 FM and wmscradio.com – had a chance to interview Conway:

It will be interesting to see how the Giants plan on using the very versatile corner, and if he will be on the field come week 1 against the Cowboys!
