For much of the first 6-7 quarters of football in 2016, the Cowboys linebacker play was lackluster. Anthony Hitchens failed to get off blocks, and was constantly burnt by tight ends for big gains. Even Sean Lee played below his standards, taking some poor angles and missing tackles at times.

Enter Justin Durant.

Durant played better than anyone expected him to in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s game, coming up with arguably the biggest defensive play of the day, breaking up Cousins’ pass on 4th and 1.

Hopefully, this coaching staff will notice and allow Durant to start in place of Hitchens against Chicago this week.
