CURRENT: Dez Bryant, Cole Beasley, Terrance Williams, Brice Butler, Lucky Whitehead
Re-signing Williams and Butler last month seemed a clear signal that Dallas would not be looking for WR talent in this draft. However, if the right guy is available, future needs may not rule that out.
Dez Bryant turns 29 this year and is already showing a little decline in his physical ability. When he’s missed time, nobody has shown the ability to step up into the lead receiver role and really threaten opposing defenses.
Butler’s one-year deal is minimal and he can be easily released if Dallas lands on a talented young receiver. The same goes for Lucky Whitehead, who may be on the chopping block if Dallas looks for an upgrade at kick and punt returns with their WR pick.
