My first published article here at Inside The Star came on July 17th, 2015. As a lifelong Cowboys fan, this means the 4-12 season of a year ago served as a rough inauguration for me into the land of Cowboys blogging.
Now, in my second season, things are obviously much happier around here – and I was even able to cross off another personal goal yesterday in Cleveland. In attendance for my first ever Dallas Cowboys game, America’s Team improved to 7-1 on the season (with plenty of their fans in attendance), bringing us yet another #VictoryPoloMonday!
I don't know if I'll ever belong to a better group than #CowboysNation. First #DallasCowboys game – win #7. ✭ pic.twitter.com/PC8tOOvRsi

As your guide through this Monday, here is a weekly collection of the best tweets surrounding #DALvsCLE:
First-Place Mannequins?
That 7-1 feeling #mannequinchallenge https://t.co/mJeoKlANYS

One of the best things about the Cowboys seven game winning streak is that they are being led by young players all over the field. This youthful team has been a joy to watch not only on the field, but off the field as well, with moments like these that sum up the chemistry and bond these players have.
Did the Cleveland Browns actually lose to a bunch of mannequins? The world may never know.

Can Anybody Let Dez Bryant Enjoy Winning?
— Dez Bryant (@DezBryant) November 7, 2016
If you are a die-hard Cowboys fan, you know all too well about the narratives that national media members try to push about this team – especially when they are leading the NFC. One such narrative that has gone on since Dez Bryant came into the league is that Dallas’ star WR is not a “team player”, or that he is a “distraction” and “unhappy diva”.
Bryant played in his second game back from injury in Cleveland, and was visibly frustrated with himself along with the officials for the overall lack of an impact he was able to make.
Bryant put out this tweet after the game in an attempt to slow down the hot takes machine that is Skip Bayless, who consistently takes the approach of a “Cowboys fan” that paints Bryant as a negative on a team full of other positives.
S/o to @DezBryant on being the best weapon we had today, all those triple teams made everybody else look amazing @_NateHiles
— Doug Adams (@Doug_Adams2) November 7, 2016
Bryant also retweeted fans like these, who understood the impact he had in freeing up other players on offense in this victory. Cole Beasley’s wide open touchdown was the perfect example of this.

David Irving’s Costly Ejection
Looking at the final score, the Cowboys loss of David Irving early in the first quarter of this game didn’t mean much, but it will cost the young defensive linemen about a week’s pay.
The fine for a first offense for fighting is $30,387.David Irving makes $30,882 per week.
— Charean Williams (@NFLCharean) November 6, 2016
On top of that, Irving will have to face Defensive Coordinator Rod Marinelli, who our Staff Writer Kevin Brady named as “The Most Important Man To The Cowboys Success“.
David Irving said after the game he had not yet talked to Marinelli about getting thrown out: "I'm a little nervous, I'm not going to lie."
— Jon Machota (@jonmachota) November 6, 2016
The talk out of Cowboys practices has always been that Irving has more than enough skill to succeed in Dallas – which we have seen numerous times – but is far too inconstant from a motor and technique standpoint.
This ejection costed him a chance to put in work against an Browns offensive line that had all kinds of problems with the Cowboys interior defenders.
Ezekiel Elliott Returns Home to a Feast
Zeke Elliott is always hungry. The rookie running back sensation is constantly eating up yards as the best player at his position in the entire league – doing so for two big scores in Cleveland yesterday.
