The Dallas Cowboys may have just re-signed Brice Butler, but don’t think for a second that they don’t plan on upgrading the wide receiver position some more either through free agency or the draft. For me, Chris Godwin is the perfect WR to play opposite Dez Bryant for the Cowboys and would likely be a day one starter.

Godwin is already one of the better blocking WRs in this draft class, which is something the Cowboys value in their #2 receivers. He has strong natural hands and has the speed to be a deep threat. He excels at coming down with contested catches and has a wide catching radius.

There aren’t many weaknesses to his game and will only continue to get better with NFL coaching. The Cowboys may wait a little later in the draft to draft a WR, but I really like the idea of drafting Chris Godwin in the second round.
