One of David Irving’s best performances this season was back in Week 6 against the Green Bay Packers. He sacked Aaron Rodgers once, had a pass deflection, and caused three forced fumbles, one of which he recovered.
That is exactly the type game he needs to have against the Packers this week in the divisional round of the playoffs.
David Irving was arguably the most destructive defensive lineman the Cowboys had at the end of the season, so it wouldn’t be a big surprise to see his playing time increase.
Irving’s biggest problem has been his consistency though. He shows flashes at times of being a dominant player, but then disappears in others.
The Cowboys defense definitely needs that dominant player to show up and harass Aaron Rodgers for just four quarters Sunday afternoon.
