Dez Bryant, Tyrone Crawford have been ruled out of Seattle game because of concussions.

I know your head is spinning, so let me try to explain.
Arguably the biggest playmakers on each side of the ball for the Cowboys will be absent for the preseason’s most watchable important game on Thursday night, at the ungodly kickoff time of 10pm CDT mind you, when Dallas heads to Seattle to play the Seahawks.
Concussions are obviously a very serious thing and something that the NFL has been trying to find a proper solution to for a long time. Ultimately it’s a good thing that the Cowboys aren’t taking any chances with such cornerstone players, but it’s definitely unfortunate.
No disrespect to Tyrone Crawford, but his absence won’t have as large of a ripple affect for this particular game. The Cowboys know that the defensive line is their achilles heel, Crawford’s presence wouldn’t have changed that.
Dez Bryant has, under the caveat that this is preseason, been spectacular so far. Physically he’s been lightyears ahead of the version of himself that trotted out for competition a season ago. Bryant hasn’t only been critical this preseason period for the purposes of justifying the hype for the 2016 Cowboys season, he’s been an integral part of the success that rookie quarterback Dak Prescott has had so far.
Given that next week is the most meaningless fourth preseason game, Bryant and Crawford wouldn’t have played a down anyway. This means that the next time Cowboys Nation sees Dez Bryant and Tyrone Crawford play will be when they do it for real at AT&T Stadium against the New York Giants on September 11th.
