A Game Of Survivor: Jason Garrett Stands Tall Among NFC East Coaches

I’m not much of a reality tv fan. Sure I love Big Brother, but who doesn’t? I’m admittedly still a huge fan of MTV’s The Challenge, but that makes two more reality television shows than I really want in my life. During a casual “What should we watch?” conversation with my girlfriend the subject of Survivor came up.

How Important Are 2016’s First 4 Games For The Dallas Cowboys?

Football is a game of four quarters, save for the occasional overtime thriller. A football season can be looked at through a similar lens. As there are 16 games in a season, that means that there are four quarters with four games apiece. Yay math! The Dallas Cowboys have handicapped themselves for the first quarter of the season with two of their star defensive players suspended for them.

Happy Birthday To Emmitt Smith From Cowboys Nation

Just over two weeks ago the Dallas Cowboys drafted Ezekiel Elliott with the 4th Overall Pick. Cowboys fans near and far are hoping that the selection of Zeke will serve Tony Romo and Dez Bryant in the same way that Emmitt Smith did Troy Aikman and Michael Irvin. If that’s the path that Zeke is destined for then it is a Hall Of Fame one. Emmitt Smith’s career records are too numerous to name, but I did so almost a year ago when he was named the Greatest #22 in Dallas Cowboys History. While that day, poetically August 22nd, served as an opportunity to shower Emmitt Smith with love, today – Emmitt Smith’s 47th Birthday – is just as great of a chance to show some affection!

Dallas Cowboys Have Eyes On Houston, Super Bowl LI

Inside The Star is where the voices of a nation, you the fans, can come congregate together for high-quality analysis regarding America’s Team. I speak on behalf of the entire Inside The Star team when I say that our primary objective is always to satisfy you. Earlier this week a loyal Inside The Star reader threw a tweet my way and asked if I could write up something on the subject. If you have something that you want us to write about, all you have to do is ask. Shout out to TJ, hopefully this is what you’re looking for good sir.

Ezekiel Elliott: No Tony Romo, No Problem?

“It’s broken.” The collective hearts of Cowboys Nation were shattered into a million pieces as Tony Romo walked into the tunnel at Lincoln Financial Field with his hand on his collarbone as ominous clouds hovered in the air on September 20th, 2015. When word trickled out that Romo had in fact broken his collarbone… the resolve of Cowboys Nation reared its legendary force as hope for the season remained despite the fact that we were, two weeks into a season rich with Super Bowl hopes, suddenly down our offense’s top two weapons (Dez Bryant being injured the week before in a last-second victory over the Giants). “This team will survive until Tony comes back,” was our battle cry.

#RJOShow Ep. 13: Introducing QB Libre With Laurie Horesh

Greetings, one and all! While most hotels in America are superstitious and avoid having a 13th floor, the #RJOShow fears not and dropped its 13th episode this week! On the #RJOShow we introduced a new game/segment called QB Libre. If you’re unaware a “cuba libre” is a rum and coke cocktail. Similar to that, a QB Libre is a Quarterback and NFL Team cocktail.

2016 Dallas Cowboys Draft Class: The Power Of 4

I’m a big fan of the Madden franchise. Every year I get the new one and start a new franchise mode so that I can lead the Dallas Cowboys to Super Bowl glory. While I love me some Romo, I also love me some me (to quote the great philosopher Terrell Owens, that is). Typically the quarterback of the Cowboys on my digital team goes by the name RJ Ochoa and wears the number 4 on his jersey. It’s my favorite number, after all.

Win Now V. Rebuilding: The Dallas Cowboys Are Both

“They’re in win now mode.” Who among us has heard that ad nauseam over the course of the last, oh I don’t know, fifty million days? I’ve spent a lot of time digesting this supposed ideology over the last week. I contemplated it to my self and talked about it on various audio platforms: The RJ Ochoa Show, The Footbology Podcast with Marcus Mosher, and my fellow Staff Writer Sean Martin’s school radio show, UFR on WMSC.

#RJOShow Ep. 12: NFL Films Talk With Senior Producer Paul Camarata

Happy Saturday! Long ago we all knew this day as the primetime slot for morning cartoons, but the #RJOShow has quickly taken that place in our hearts! This week the #RJOShow is all about NFL Films. I’m a big fan, admirer, and researcher of NFL History… and part of my process includes the many great works of NFL Films.

Space Cowboys: The Dallas Offensive Line

Rare are the moments when I get the idea for an article and can’t put a mental bookmark on it for later. These are the breaths of fresh air that cause me to run straight to my Macbook and put these thoughts somewhere safe. It was actually during a run, on a treadmill to be specific, that my latest form of “inspiration” hit. When getting my daily dose of cardio I like to put on some high-quality jams, who doesn’t for what it’s worth, and my taste is a bit… unique.
