Cowboys Sophomores: QB Jameill Showers

As Cowboys fans anxiously await the Cowboys’ 2016 training camp, getting underway from Oxnard, CA at the end of this month, we find ourselves in a familiar situation from the 4-win 2015 season this team just endured. The backup quarterback position behind Tony Romo is still mired in uncertainty. … Read more

Jameill Showers Won’t Go Away Quietly

As fans, we love to read, watch, tweet, analyze, and do anything we can to get our hands on any possible information about the Dallas Cowboys. We stream the Cowboys’ war room on draft night, we travel to or watch training camp online, and we salivate over the insight which those close to the organization provide us about events as trivial as OTA’s. OTA’s are interesting to me. There are no pads, there is limited contact, and the main goal of the practice time is to keep everyone upright and healthy for when actual football is ready to be played. With all that being said, I refuse to believe any time the team is together and lining up as an offense or defense is meaningless.

Dallas Cowboys: Backup Quarterback Still A Concern?

The 2015 season for the Dallas Cowboys was a complete disaster and the majority of the blame can be placed squarely on the backup quarterback situation. Once Tony Romo went down not once, but twice with a broken clavicle, we pretty much knew that the season was on the line. Who was actually comfortable knowing that Brandon Weeden was a backup behind Romo heading into the 2015 season? I know I wasn’t. I thought it was an absolute mistake by the organization.

April Showers: What’s The Deal With Jameill?

According to the high emperor, Lord Google, April Showers is defined as rain in the United Kingdom and Ireland during the month of April. I don’t know much about the UK, although I did speak to NFL Draft Zone’s Dan Turner on this week’s #RJOShow, so no worries … Read more

ESPN First Take: So Tebow Won’t Destroy The Cowboys?

As I reported last week, ESPN’s First Take had an interesting reaction to Orlando Scandrick’s injury. It looks like they may have changed their mind about Tim Tebow leading the Philadelphia Eagles to victory over the Cowboys this season. "@TimTebow's only hope at this point is Chip Kelly's … Read more

Cowboys Position Battle Evaluations: Tight End

There really have not been many moving parts at the Tight End position. Jason Witten is still himself, Gavin Escobar showed he could line up as a Wide Receiver during Training Camp, and James Hanna remains the best point of attack blocker. Hanna’s role in the run game … Read more

Breaking Down Cowboys @ 49ers

That was far from pretty. The 23-6 final score is of no value, but the totality of how the team played has ramifications of what the depth chart will look like come week one. I took extensive note while watching last night and took away both positive and … Read more
