Nick Perry (6’3″, 265)
Nick Perry might just be the defensive end I hope the Cowboys target the most this off-season. I really liked him when he decided to enter the draft out of USC and thought he’s been playing out of position during his time in Green Bay.
I really believe his skill set is better suited to play in the 4-3 defensive scheme and that he would be exceptional under Rod Marinelli’s tutelage.
The Cowboys coaching staff know firsthand the type of disruptive force he can be having faced him twice during the 2016 season. He finished the year with an impressive 11 quarterback sacks and one interception in a rotation with Clay Matthews and Julius Peppers.
What’s even more impressive about his 2016 statistics is that he accomplished all that with basically one hand. He played several games with a cast on his right hand, but that didn’t stop him from getting after the QB.
He is only 26 and could be in that price range that the Cowboys are willing to spend in free agency.
