[tps_title]2017 NFL combine: 5 TE participants to watch for the Dallas Cowboys[/tps_title]
[4/5] Jordan Leggett, Clemson (6’5″, 258)
Jordan Leggett is one of the more physically gifted tight ends in this draft class, but is wildly inconsistent with his play on the field. He checks every size/weight/speed box and could turn into the best TE to come out of this draft.
He has the speed and athleticism to be a threat in the passing game, whether he lines up as a split end or in line. He has strong natural hands as a receiver, but tends to lose focus from time to time. This is one of the more frustrating things when watching him on tape, because one second he is making a spectacular catch, but then he loses his focus and drops a routine throw.
The most important part of the NFL combine for Jordan Leggett might just be the interview process. He has gained the reputation as being lazy and will have to convince coaches and scouts that he can put out the max effort needed to succeed at the NFL level. I do however believe he will be one of the top performers in all the different events, which will help determine whether or not he is a Day Two or Day Three draft pick.
