Your Dallas Cowboys Wide Receiver – Dez Bryant

My Ranking: 6

Dez Bryant bounced back with a really nice game in week two. He found ways to get open consistently and turned 12 targets into 7 catches for 102 yards receiving.

The Chicago Bears are a mixed bag against the pass. They do really well against a team’s top receiver in 2016. In week one they limited DeAndre Hopkins to five catches for 54 yards and one touchdown. In week two they held Jordan Matthews of the Philadelphia Eagles to four catches for 42 yards.

As a team, the Chicago Bears seem to want to take away a team’s top receiving threat. I believe Dez Bryant bucks the trend and continues to build on his week two performance. He is a must start in every league.

Flawless Forecast: Five catches for 85 yards.

Your Dallas Cowboys Wide Receiver – Cole Beasley

My Ranking: 40

Playing the Houston Texans in week one, the Bears allowed rookie wide receiver Will Fuller to get open a lot. He finished the day with five catches for 107 yards and a touchdown. In week two Nelson Agholor finished with 71 yards on six catches for the Philadelphia Eagles.

Those are both the number two receiving options on their respective teams.

Cole Beasley has emerged as the number two receiving option in the slot for the Dallas Cowboys. He either leads or is tied for the team lead in every receiving category. Dak Prescott really likes to throw to Beasley, and why wouldn’t he; Beasley is always open.

Beasley is now a must start in 12 team or deeper PPR leagues.

Flawless Forecast: Seven catches for 73 yards and a touchdown.

Your Dallas Cowboys Wide Receiver – Terrance Williams

Expert Consensus Ranking: 83
My Ranking: 55

Terrance Williams isn’t a perfect wide receiver, but there are very few of those in the league. At times, Williams can be a really good receiver (see week 17 of last year).

In 2016 however, Terrance Williams seems to be a player that is getting lost in the target hierarchy.

Whether it’s the game plan or Prescott taking what the defense is giving him, Williams just isn’t getting the targets. He’s tied with Lance Dunbar for fourth on the team in targets and he’s tied with Geoff Swaim, Ezekiel Elliott, and Lance Dunbar for fourth on the team in receptions.

This week, against a Chicago Bears defense that is letting secondary receivers beat them, I think Terrance Williams could have a solid day.

Flawless Forecast: Three catches, 73 yards, zero touchdowns

One to Start – Tajae Sharpe (Titans vs Raiders)

Fantasy Football - Fantasy Football Wide Receiver Rankings - Week 3 1Expert Consensus Ranking: 36
My Ranking: 27

I know, I know. In this space last week I recommended Tajae Sharpe to you against the Detroit Lions.

A lot of us were burned by that one. It happens, but that isn’t going to dispel my belief in the rookie from the University of Massachusetts.

In week three he faces an Oakland Raiders defense that has been torched in the first two weeks, by the New Orleans Saints and the Atlanta Falcons. Marcus Mariota has played well, averaging 250 yards a game and two touchdowns, and I think he has a big week this week.

On the receiving end of Mariota’s big day will be Tajae Sharpe.

On the year, he’s received 18 targets. Even last week, when he only turned in four catches for 33 yards, he still saw seven targets. The Oakland Raiders aren’t stopping anybody, and Tajae Sharpe will have his breakout day.

Flawless Forecast: Seven catches for 136 yards and two touchdowns

One to Sit – A.J. Green (Bengals vs Broncos)

Fantasy Football - Fantasy Football Wide Receiver Rankings - Week 3Expert Consensus Ranking: 12
My Ranking: 14

I love A.J. Green. Since his rookie year, I have always tried to have some AJ Green in my life.

He’s just an amazing player and it helps that Andy Dalton feeds him the ball.

This week, though, I love A.J. Green less.

Denver has picked up right where they left off in 2015 on defense. They continue to put pressure on the quarterback and play physically in the secondary. They are the best defense in the NFL. No question.

Against the Indianapolis Colts in week two, no receiver had more than 50 yards receiving. The Denver Broncos sacked Andrew Luck five times and held him to a 52.5% completion percentage.

A.J. Green is typically a must-start in any format, but if you have an option with a better matchup, I’d consider letting Green hang out on the bench in week three.

Flawless Forecast: Three catches for 56 yards and zero touchdowns.
