Ezekiel Elliott Ready to Run: “I’m Coming to Dallas to Win a Super Bowl”

Has it settled in yet? The Dallas Cowboys added Ohio State running back Ezekiel Elliott with the fourth overall pick tonight in the NFL Draft! Fans can brace for a dynamic offense with Zeke in the backfield, along with lofty expectations to follow. Elliott, who bursts with confidence in everything he does, appeared ready for these expectations when he came off the stage in Chicago to join Cowboys’ great Deion Sanders on NFL Network. In this post-draft interview, Elliott declared:

The Dallas Cowboys Select Ezekiel Elliott at #4

This past Christmas, I wrote about how the Dallas Cowboys can further build around their star-studded offensive line to win games.  Tonight, in an event that many fans refer to as “Football Christmas”, the Cowboys gave us this answer – drafting running back Ezekiel Elliott out of Ohio State University with the fourth overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft. Elliott is one of the most dynamic running back prospects we have seen come out of college over the past few seasons, thriving in a zone-running scheme with the Buckeyes. We all know the narrative far too well by now. DeMarco Murray led the league in rushing in 2014 behind this offensive line.

Cowboys Draft: Ronald Leary Opens Up Draft-Trade Doors

The window for restricted free agents to sign offer sheets with their teams has closed, leaving Cowboys Guard Ronald Leary with two options: Sign his 2nd round tender offer with the team Or, sit out the 2016 season Leary decided to sign the tender today, which comes with around a $2.5 million salary for the 2016 season. Leary has been a viable starter for the Cowboys since 2013, but was replaced mid-way through last season by rookie sensation La’el Collins. Collins has shown no sign of slowing down as the Cowboys starting Left Guard, and should be cemented on the line for many years to come.

2016 Cowboys Draft Day: Final Mock Draft Scenarios

Well it’s draft day (can’t use DDay out of respect for our vets), and now we will see who the Cowboys will take and how the draft unfolds. About the only guarantee is that all of the predictions and mocks from the experts will be obliterated by the tenth pick (If not sooner). But even so, we all want to try to play GM and predict what will happen and this is my attempt to do the same. So without further ado, here are my predictions for what the Cowboys will do in the first four rounds. The Cowboys draft will be set up by what San Diego does with their pick.

Cowboys Draft: Please Say No To Jalen Ramsey

It’s finally that time. The 2016 NFL Draft is just hours away and we will finally know exactly who the Dallas Cowboys will be adding to their 2016 roster. By now you’ve probably already heard the names that have been linked to the Cowboys: Ezekiel Elliott, Joey Bosa, and Jalen Ramsey. If you’re anything like me, you’ve done as much research on these three prospects as possible and should have a pretty good idea of each player strengths and weaknesses.
