Wide receiver
Dez Bryant – 3 years remaining on a 5-year deal, $70 million
Cole Beasley – 2 years remaining on a 4-year deal, $13.5 million
Lucky Whitehead – 1 year remaining on a 3-year, $1.5 million
Terrance Williams – Unrestricted free agent
Brice Butler – Unrestricted free agent
Evaluation: Once Dez Bryant finally got himself healthy, he once again proved he is one of the best wide receivers in the NFL. With a full off-season to work with Prescott, you can bet that their chemistry will only improve and be much better for the 2017 season
Cole Beasley has established himself as one of the best slot receivers in the entire NFL. He was Prescott’s best friend in the first couple of games early on in the season, which resulted in Beasley’s best year in the NFL.
Bryant and Beasley give the Cowboys passing game two really good weapons, but there’s not much behind them to inspire any confidence in the WR group.
Lucky Whitehead is returning, but he is more of a return specialist than wide receiver.
This is a position the Cowboys will have to address at some point during the off-season. They may try to re-sign either Terrance Williams or Brice Butler, but that likely depends on the type of money they are looking for.
