2017 NFL Scouting combine: 10 DE participants to watch for the Dallas Cowboys
9 of 10
Daeshon Hall, Texas A&M (6’5″, 265)
Daeshon Hall is definitely at the top of my list of DE participants to watch at the NFL combine. He is the ultimate enigma to me because he has all the physical tools you look for in a 4-3 defensive end, but for some reason he hasn’t been able to put things together yet.
Hall has outstanding length with 34 5/8-inch arm length and at 6’5″, 265, has the size to play either DE spot in a 4-3 defensive scheme. He is relentless as a player and has the motor to match. He has good natural bend for a player his size, but tends to be more successful with his pass rush when he shoots to the inside against offensive lineman.
I expect him to perform really well at the NFL combine, but he is really just an average player when you watch his game film. He could be a good addition for the Cowboys in the middle rounds and if he could ever put everything together, he could be a really good player in the NFL. But, for now he would probably be nothing more than a good rotational DE.
