2017 NFL Scouting combine: 10 DE participants to watch for the Dallas Cowboys
4 of 10
Charles Harris, Missouri (6’3″, 255)
Charles Harris is probably the last DE the Cowboys would consider drafting in the first round. He is one of the youngest and most inexperienced DE participants at the NFL combine, but with a little bit of development he could turn into a really good pass rusher.
Because of his untapped potential, a good showing at the combine could cause him to move up a lot of teams draft boards and take him out of the reach of the Dallas Cowboys.
Harris played around 240 pounds at Missouri, which is a little undersized for a 4-3 DE. But, he has since then bulked up to around 250 and I will be paying close attention to see how he carries that added weight during the different combine drills. There is a lot to like about Harris’ skill set, but for him to be a consideration in the first round for the Cowboys, he really needs a good showing at the combine.
