2017 NFL Scouting combine: 10 DE participants to watch for the Dallas Cowboys

Tim Williams, Alabama (6’4″, 252)
Tim Williams might just be the DE participant that I’m most looking forward to watching at the NFL combine. There is a lot to like about his game, but there are also a lot of questions that need to be answered in order for him to be a consideration for the Dallas Cowboys.
Williams is going to have to answer some tough questions about some of his off the field concerns, but I expect him to put on a show in nearly all of the different combine events.
On film, Williams’ explosiveness and heavy hands jump out at you. But, there are questions about whether or not he can withstand the physical nature of the position as an every down player in the NFL, especially as a 4-3 DE. His bench press and measurable’s could go a long way in determining if he is a better fit in a 3-4 or 4-3 defensive scheme.
