S Micah Hyde

Sign a Veteran Safety

If rumors are true, then Barry Church is receiving quite a bit of interest in free agency and that means he will undoubtedly be out of the Cowboys price range. The Cowboys could bring back J.J. Wilcox, but I would personally like to see them move away from that box safety type of player.

I personally believe that they should sign Micah Hyde, the former Green Bay Packer defensive back. Hyde’s versatility really makes him an intriguing option for the Cowboys. He can play nearly every position in the secondary, something he did for the Packers, and he likely wouldn’t cost too much to bring in.

Byron Jones is really the only starting caliber safety that the Cowboys have on the roster as of right now, but I wouldn’t mind seeing what Jeff Heath could do with more playing time.

The Cowboys need to add depth to the safety position and Micah Hyde is a player that I really like because he can play so many different roles in the secondary. Of course, the Cowboys could just wait and try to address the position in the draft. But, I think they need a more proven player to solidify the position.

  1. It’s gonna be kinda hard to trade Romo , what team in their right mind would trade anything for a old fragile qb. Release him and get it over with already !!! It’s not like he’s going to any threats in the NFC We can use that money for Defense. Speaking of Defense that should be the ONLY focus of the off-season , resign back who you can and Draft heavy on the defensive side of the ball BUT if a playmaker TE or WR is available high in the draft you take him but other than that the off season should be simple but effective Don’t waste a good team because you won’t put together the necessary pieces on defense I feel like its the same story going into EVERY off-season DEFENSE WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS Not tryna out score everybody and playing keep away
