[tps_title]2017 NFL Combine: 6 CB participants to watch for the Dallas Cowboys[/tps_title]
[4/6] Cordrea Tankersley, Clemson (6’0″, 200)
Cordrea Tankersley is a CB the Cowboys could target at 60 with their second round draft pick. Tankersley is an intriguing prospect and has the skill set to start as an outside CB as a rookie. He is just starting to scratch the surface of his potential and with a little bit more development, could be exactly what the Dallas Cowboys are looking for.
Tankersley is a good-sized athlete with the height and length that NFL teams covet in their defensive backs. He has above average ball skills and knows how to disrupt WRs off the line of scrimmage and when they’re running their routes.
One of the reasons he will probably slide into the second round is because he doesn’t have the elite speed of some of these other prospects. That is why his 40 yard dash time could be more important to his draft stock than any other CB that made this list. Another reason he will slide a little is because he really needs to work on his technique. When his technique breaks down, it causes him to not really trust what he sees and often times it makes him to get grabby with WRs.
A good outing at the NFL combine will help solidify him in this 2017 CB draft class. If he can clean up his technique and footwork, he could end up being a steal in the second round.
This is the year, the Cowboys will draft Seattle like secondary players , to take the Cowboys to another level Furthermore, those additions, will have Sean Lee, Jaylon Smith, Byron Jones, and Anthony Brown, flourish, in a proactive mode, especially, if the Cowboys land Takk and AQ Muhammad at the defensive end position. It’s Charles Haley an Harvey Martin, show again!!
I think all of us Cowboys fans are hoping that’s the case.
