It seemed disrespectful to put McFadden any lower than this, even though I don’t expect him to be back in 2017. I wrote extensively about McFadden’s status a few weeks ago.
McFadden will turn the dreaded 30-years-old next August. Dallas already has a well-stocked RB depth chart with Ezekiel Elliott, Alfred Morris, and Darius Jackson for next year. Given how little use they seem to have for McFadden this year, next season seems almost impossible.
One saving grace for McFadden could be the lackluster play of Morris. If he does rejoin the active roster and gets some carries, he will have a chance to outshine his fellow veteran.
