Assuming he is still a favorite of offensive coordinator Scott Linehan, Moore could be back next year to compete for the backup QB job. With Tony Romo likely leaving, the depth chart will be wide open behind Dak Prescott.

With two years already in Dallas and even more playing for Linehan, Moore would have an edge on most veteran options. I expect that Dallas will re-sign him to a minimal deal. They’ve seen enough of his work that he won’t have the job locked down.
