[tps_title]2. Terrell McClain, DT (Age: 29)[/tps_title]
Arguably the most consistent and effective defensive tackle all season, McClain has finally come through after two years on injury problems. But even if the Cowboys want to bring McClain back, it may not be practical based on other obligations.
McClain may get pushed out by a contract logjam at the DT position. Dallas has Tyrone Crawford, Cedric Thornton, and Maliek Collins all signed up. While McClain has been better than Thornton, Dallas would have a hard time cutting him in just the second year of his deal.
What’s more, the Cowboys could bring back David Irving or Jack Crawford, if not both, and they can both play inside. It cleary doesn’t look good for McClain to stay in Dallas, but at least his strong play this year has helped his market value.
